Katherine Boyce - Soprano
University of Southampton Course: First study singing performance (BA Music). 1st year.
Began singing at 7 at St John's Church Boxmore, eventually becoming Head chorister and winning the St Cecelia medal in 2000, and the Halsey Cup for singing at Hemel Hempstead School. Performed solo repertoire includes Handel's Messiah, Faure's Requiem and the Magnificat by Bach. Kat studies singing with Christine Page.. 


Eleanor Moreton - Soprano
University of Southampton Course: German and Music. 2nd year.
At 9 years old she sang the lead role in the Wizard of Oz, and later, Bugsy Malone. In 2003 she sang in Handel's Messiah with the English Consort Chorus at the Royal Albert Hall. Currently a principal in Lop SOC's production of Ruddigore by Gilbert & Sullivan. She also sings in the university's Chamber Choir and is their tour secretary. Eleanor studies singing with Christine Page. 


Vikki Redwood - Soporano
University of Southampton Course: First study singing performance (BA Music). 1st year.
Her vocal tuition started in sixth form at Taunton's College with Elin Davis in 2003. As a member of the Southampton Youth Choir, she toured Italy, performing in cathedrals and churches in Pisa and Florence. She has also toured with 'Musical Score' in Vin Sobres, France. Recent classical performances include soprano soloist in Finzi's In terra Pax, Bach's Magnificat, and Mozart's Coronation Mass. Her interest in singing covers other genres, as jazz soloist she sang with Taunton's College Big Band at Talking Heads Southampton. Vicky is continuing her vocal studies with Christine Page. 


Katie King - Mezzo-Soprano
University of Southampton Course: First study singing performance (BA Music). 2nd year.
A music scholar from the King's School Rochester and former and Head Chorister of Rochester Cathedral's Girls Choir appearing in BBC's Songs of Praise and on GMTV. Another music scholarship followed, this time to St Edmund's Canterbury where she sang and toured with the chapel choir to Canada and Italy. Recent solo performances include Lambert's Rio Grande at Southampton's Guildhall, and Handel's Messiah. She plays violin, piano & organ and studies singing with Christine Page. Katie hopes to emulate Emily Rowley-Jones, a former member of Cantores by continuing her vocal studies at The Guildhall School of Music London. 


Annabel Roy - Contralto
University of Southampton Course: Geography BSc degree. 2nd year.
She started singing at the age of eight when she joined the choir of St. Michael's in Bishop's Stortford. Whilst singing with this choir she appeared many times as a soloist, most notably in John Rutter's Requiem and Pergolesi's Stabat Mater. In 2003 Annabel was invited to become a member of the acclaimed Rodolfus Choir which is directed by Ralph Allwood. A recent highlight included singing at the Premiére of John Tavener's Lament for Jerusalem and in the New Year she will be recording Songs of Praise. Her current voice teacher is Alison Wells. 


Mark Bamping - Tenor
University of Southampton Course: First study singing performance (BA Music). 2nd year.
A former Music Scholar at Merchant Taylors' School Northwood, Mark started singing at the age of 7 in the Walbrook Singers, where he gained his RSCM Bishops award and was Head Chorister for 2 years. It was at Merchant Taylors' where Mark gained most of his musical experience, gaining Grade 8 in Violin, Viola, Piano, Drums and Voice, which he passed with Distinction. Mark has toured to Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands with MTS and the Walbrook Singers in recent years. His favourite repertoire includes German Lieder and English Art song, whilst he has featured as a soloist in such works as Purcell's My beloved spake and Rejoice in the Lord always, Mozart's Coronation Mass, Haydn's Missa Sancti Nicolai, and more recent works such as Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb. Mark is currently in his second year studying for a BA in Music at the University of Southampton and studies Voice with Margaret Hughes. He is also a founding member of The Hartley Ensemble whose repertoire spans from Renaissance polyphony to close harmony works. 



William Houghton - Bass/Baritone
University of Southampton Course: First study singing performance (BA Music). 1st year.
He began singing in 1994 at the age of 7 when he joined the St Albans Cathedral Choir directed by Barry Rose. Will was head chorister and took part in a tour to the USA and Sweden. He sang in the 'live' and recorded radio and television broadcasts from Horseguards Parade for the Queen Mother's 100th birthday. When his voice broke he left the Cathedral Choir and became a member of the St Albans Abbey Singers and the Hertfordshire County Youth Choir. During the past two years he has been invited to sing various solos including Faure's Requiem, Orff's Carmina Burana, Handel's Messiah and Bach's Magnificat. Will studies voice with Keith Davis. 


Dan Terry - Bass
University of Southampton Course: First study singing performance (BA Music) 3rd year.
He started as a chorister at the age of 6. Dan's musical career blossomed at Tiffin Boys' School, Kingston upon Thames, touring the USA France Germany Ireland and Israel. He has been involved in several commercial recordings for EMI label. Recent concerts as soloists include In Terra Pax -Finzi, Fantasia on Christmas Carols - R V Williams. As a recitalist his repertoire includes arias by Mozart & Verdi, songs from Purcell to German lieder composers, and the English Art Song repertoire. He studies singing with Keith Davis.

Keith Davis
Keith Davis was a chorister in Holy Trinity Church Sloane Square Chelsea from the age of 7. A Junior exhibitioner at the Royal College of Music from the age of 12 studying organ, counterpoint, and music history with Andrew Lloyd Webber's mother! His first voice lessons were with the counter-tenor Paul Esswood. Keith then went onto study with Paul's former professor of voice, Gordon Clinton at the RCM. His professional singing career began when he was appointed solo counter-tenor lay-clerk to Westminster Cathedral at the age of 18. A year later he became a member of the international early music group Pro Cantione Antiqua, the two other counter-tenors being Paul Esswood and James Bowman. A full and varied solo singing career ensued (more information on his web site). He was a professor of singing at the RCM from 1981-86, and visiting voice tutor Oxford University. He founded Cantores Michaelis in 2001, and is currently Head of Vocal Studies at the University of Southampton.
